Supreme Court Collegium lists 23 for HC judges' posts?

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended 23 names for the appointment of High Court judges in the states of Karnataka, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir. The Collegium, which consists of Chief Justice of India and four senior-most judges of the Supreme Court, has cleared names for appointment of HC judges in four high courts. The names include advocates, judicial officers, and former HC judges. The recommendations are for appointment of 15 permanent Judges and 8 additional judges in the high courts of Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana, and Karnataka. The Collegium also recommended for the re-appointment of former HC judge in Jammu & Kashmir. The recommendations will now be sent to the Ministry of Law and Justice for further action.

Supreme Court Collegium lists 23 for HC judges' posts?

The Supreme Court Collegium has released a list of 23 names for appointments to the High Court Judges' posts. The list includes names of three Chief Justices of High Courts and 20 Judges of High Courts. These names have been recommended out of the 36 names that were received after a thorough process of examination and selection. It is expected that these appointments will be made soon and will bring in more experienced Judges in the High Courts across the country.
